Trying hard to get a good education so as to secure a good job with steady paycheck? Studying is important but you simply cannot concentrate or have no passion at all?

Well, I fall under this category and I’m not alone. For the past 3 months I have been seeking advice, browsing through degree courses and financial education seminars. One morning I will wake up and decisively tell myself I won’t pursue my degree anymore. On the other morning I will wake up and tell myself I will take the entrepreneurial route.

Now after months of researching and reading, I think I have almost found my answer. Not yet, but almost.  I may seem undecisive or lost in direction, in fact I am. Because what I decide now concerns the rest of my life. I aim is to be financially free with multiple passive incomes. Studying may not give me such luxury, but there are certain ‘by the book’ knowledge that I cannot impart from the streets, like accounting and law. On the other hand, I love taking risks.

Which path are you taking? What else can I gain from outside the streets and the schools? Have you had any life-changing experience?

I believe we are destined to perform certain roles in life. I will find mine soon enough.

Insomnia

August 5, 2009

Ever wake up in the middle of your sleep and not being able to move at all? Is it tough falling asleep and experiencing episodes of horrified nightmares?

The day is bright but your eyes are shutting. There is work to be done but you can hard concentrate or focus. The doctor and counsellor cannot identify your problem and your superiors do not know what to do with you. Your days seems restless and your nights seems hopeless.

How to identify the root of the cause for insomnia? How can insomnia be cured spiritually rather than taking medications?

Heal The World

This song is one of my favourites.  Dedicated to the children of the world, with very peaceful and touching lyrics.

He is one unique icon with a fantastic voice, awesome dance moves and shows great passion and energy during his performances.  Listen to his album tracks and live performance songs, there isn’t much difference, to me. His album “Thriller” is the highest selling album of all time. “The final curtain”, his comeback performance, is supposed to happen in London next month.

People may have negative views on him, but he is still loved by many.

Its a great loss, but the music he made will always be remembered. We’ll rock with you. Peace.

This hugh pot is made from a lorry tire. Couldn’t imagine such item can be made out of a tire.

Spent 2 nights in the hostel in the far end of Bodhiraja International College. It was about 200m from the main gate. No street light, no fan, all alone.  Only 3 rooms were occupied including mine. I was sweating like bathing during bedtime.

Spot the unusual. Its quite obvious. So now you know the alternative if you don’t have an umbrella in hand.

Couldn’t have lunch in a better place. In the middle of the forest, foot of the waterfall. We dashed uphill back into the forest when the heavy rain came pouring shortly after. Luck.

Orphanage visit. These kids aren’t as fortunate, but the good thing is, they have real good energy in them! High flying and cheeky! Under the care of a German volunteer and 2 locals.

And finally, introducing Jimmy.

I missed out shots in the hotsprings. It was fantastic but too bad, left the cam in the hostel. Visited the tsunami project site aided by several societies in Singapore, but no interesting sights.

Well, Sri Lanka isn’t a popular tourist attraction, but if you are a nature-lover, this country is absolutely wonderful. Well, I do not know much about the history of the country, but i do know Sri Lanka achieved most recognition and victories in cricket, but volleyball is the national sport. By the way I am picking up cricket now.

I will be planning for a second trip.

Cheers!

Farmstay Resort

December 1, 2008

Is it due to the bad economy? Or is it the love for mother nature? Seems like more Singaporeans are having holidays within the country at D’Kranji Farm Resort in Lim Chu Kang. Man, I’ll definitely want to spend a short holiday there real soon.
